have mundane distributions.
After
North had opened a routine one heart East bid two notrump to
show the minors. Some players overcalled four notrump
to show the minors and a very strong hand. Over two
notrump South had a tricky call. Barry Myers lurked
with a pass. When East jumped to game he now supported
hearts. East decided to double this with three
aces. Unfortunately for her one of them didn't cash,
there was nothing to the play and North quickly made eleven
tricks.
The
scores on this deal ranged from +990 for four hearts doubled
with an overtrick to minus 1540 for six clubs doubled making.
