West led the ten of clubs, declarer won with the ace in dummy partner playing the six and declarer the five.  Declarer now played a heart to the king and your ace partner following with the two.  What do you play now?

Scroll down for analysis.

You have a difficult guess at this point.  Declarer may have the club king and be about to discard any spade loser on the clubs or he may have a void spade in which case trying to cash a spade trick could be fatal.

Tom Slater decided that declarer was more likely to be 1633 or 1642 with the diamond ace and club king and tried to cash the spade ace.

Raymond Semp as declarer trumped that and was able to take a ruffing finesse in spades to dispose of all of his diamond losers on the clubs and spades for a near top.
