to dummy with a heart, then run the ten of clubs
followed by all the clubs, discarding diamonds and a
spade from dummy.
Now
play all the hearts coming down to the end position
below. When you play the last heart East has
no good discard.
If
she throws a spade, then a spade to the ace followed
by a diamond to the ace and the last spade.
If
she throws a diamond then the ace of diamonds
followed by a spade to hand.
This
rare ending is a criss-cross squeeze.
Playing
all the hearts, then all the clubs also leads to the
same end position.
